Israeli fighter jets have launched a series of air raids on the Gaza Strip.
Fawzi Barhoum, spokesman for Hamas, said in a statement that “the occupation’s bombing of the resistance sites is a demonstrative show by the new Israeli government”, referring to the administration that was approved on Sunday by Israel’s parliament, with right-wing nationalist Naftali Bennett sworn in as prime minister.

La situación en la frontera entre Israel y Gaza es de extrema fragilidad y cualquier mal cálculo podría volver a escalar las tensiones. La ONU expresó su preocupación por la nueva ola de violencia en Gaza y pidió el pleno respeto al alto el fuego.
