North Korea fires more projectiles and says talks with 'impudent' South are over
North Korea has fired at least two unidentified projectiles into the sea off its east coast, shortly after it denounced South Korea’s military drills with the US and declared that inter-Korean talks were over.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff [JCS] said the North conducted the launch early on Friday from a site near the city of Tongchon. It has conducted six rounds of weapons launches since 25 July, apparently in retaliation for military drills involving South Korean and US forces.

Pakistan army says Indian firing across LoC kills another soldier
Casualties rise to six in last 24 hours, says Pakistan army, adding that five Indian soldiers were killed on Thursday.
Pakistan's army has said Indian troops fired across the Line of Control (LoC) in the disputed Kashmir region, killing another soldier and bringing the death toll to six in less than 24 hours.
Pakistan's army has said Indian troops fired across the Line of Control (LoC) in the disputed Kashmir region, killing another soldier and bringing the death toll to six in less than 24 hours.
The developments come during a period of increasing tensions between India and Pakistan after New Delhi's Hindu nationalist government last week revoked special status for Indian-administered Kashmir.
The decision by India blocks the right of the Muslim-majority state of Jammu and Kashmir to frame its own laws and allows non-residents to buy property there.
Trump warns of risk of Chinese crackdown in Hong Kong
US president urges China's Xi to visit Hong Kong as Beijing issues stern warning about continuing protests.
The movement represents the greatest challenge to Beijing's authority since the city was handed back by the British in 1997 under a deal that allowed it to keep freedoms that many Hong Kong citizens feel are being eroded.
Zimbabwe police violently break up protests after court ban
Protesters met with tear gas and beatings as riot police put down a demonstration in Harare against the poor economy.
Supporters of Zimbabwe's opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) sang songs condemning the police brutality as officers fired tear gas to disperse them.
"There is no difference between Mnangagwa and Mugabe. We jumped from the frying pan into the fire after the November coup".
At least six opposition and rights activists were abducted and tortured by unidentified assailants in the days leading up to the protest, according to the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum, a coalition of 21 human rights groups.
Friday's protests are the first since rallies in January against Mnangagwa's decision to raise fuel prices that ended in deadly clashes with troops.
