Esta semana, en Corea del Sur, se encuentra reunido el Panel Intergubernamental sobre el Cambio Climático (IPCC), con el fin evaluar y proponer acciones para frenar los fenómenos meteorológicos extremos que han afectado a todo el mundo, desde las sequías y temperaturas récord en el norte de Europa, los incendios forestales en los EE. UU., las olas de calor y la sequía de China, las inusuales inundaciones en Inglaterra y en el Sur, o las atípicas lluvias “explosivas” de Jalisco, Coahuila y Sinaloa, en México. En este contexto es urgente que los gobiernos del mundo lleven a cabo acciones drásticas para disminuir el aumento de gases invernadero y de la temperatura.
